It brought together for the first time former President Amin Gemayel, the head of the right-wing Christian Phalange Party, Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) leader MP Michel Aoun, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea and Marada Movement leader and Zghorta lawmaker Suleiman Franjieh. A long-awaited reconciliation of the four leaders is seen as essential to stem an alarming wave of Christian land sales, mostly to wealthy Arab Gulf citizens.
